8 Examples of Amazingly Quirky Garden Artwork
One of the more difficult aspects of owning a home is the maintenance that comes along with it. Gardening, for example, can leave many home owners frustrated as upkeep is not only important for the family, but also your neighbors. Then there are those who do enjoy it. Those who are gifted with a magical green thumb find the work to be fun, creative, and exciting. But most of all, part of the draw is that gardening requires a lot of love and patience.
What about artistic abilities? Many argue that gardening is a form of art, since it requires vision, skill and refinement. No doubt about it, this Sunday afternoon ritual allows those who love nature the ability to express themselves.
One thing that’s for sure, people love to be creative when they can. And some have a knack for taking it a little too far.
Here are our top ten favorite quirky garden artwork (all of which were found on Pinterest):
1. Drama-life-love-lost…breasts?
How dramatic! This sculpture captures the essence and spirituality of Mother Earth, but also begs the question: should you put this on your front lawn?
2. Peek-a-boo!: POP Art influence
We’re loving the Pop artwork on this tree. Not sure if the tree sap is a part of the installation, but this is VERY cool nonetheless.
3. Outdoor seating
Not sure if we want to eat, sit on it, or put it in our hair. The reason being is that this artwork is beautiful, in its fanciful, girly, delicious kind of way…mmm…cupcakes.
4. Don’t forget to moisturize your lawn
This is actually one of our favorites. Why? Because it’s simply hilarious to look at.
5. The look on that frog’s face
There are no words for this photo, other than: LOL
6. The weight of nature is on my shoulders
We have no idea how this tree can look so frantic and flustered, but it just does. It’s almost contradictory to nature itself, as if nature was saying: “STOP! In the name of love…”
7. Scarecrow at the dinner party
Ever had a guest at the dinner party bring another friend who was painfully eccentric? Yet you feel obliged to hold a conversation with this person anyway? And then there’s this statue.
8. Hakuna Matata?
Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata! Ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days
It’s our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!
That’s not entirely true. Someone has to worry about trimming and watering this boar, for the rest of their days.
