However, such products and services are not luxury items!  Looking and feeling her best is every woman’s God given right and not even a recession’s aftermath should hold us back looking fabulous!  Instead, let’s go back to the kitchen and use some good old fashioned tricks and whip up some simple, easy and inexpensive home made beauty recipes right from the comfort of our homes!

Beer bath for undernourished skin!

Pour a bottle of beer into your bath tub, soak in and relax. The vitamins and yeast in the beer will nourish your skin. Many European Spas offer this treatment pioneered by the Egyptian beauty Queen Cleopatra.

Coffee grinds to fight cellulites

The major anti cellulite remedies are loaded with Caffeine! What could be a better source of caffeine than coffee grinds themselves? Rub coffee grinds on the affected area to promote blood circulation and help reduce appearance of cellulites!

Mix ¼ of unsweetened 100% cranberry juice with water. Drink this daily to detoxify, rehydrate and get rid off bloating! Cranberry also helps fight urinary tract infection.

Magic vitamin E to boost your skin!

We are all well aware of the antioxidant and anti aging qualities of Vitamin E protecting us from free radical damage. However, if your favorite, affordable moisturizer does not contain vitamin E, just break open a capsule and mix it in your cream or simply apply on your face before bed. Easy, simple and can be found at most pharmacies.

Lemon for youthful hands!

Rub a piece of lemon all over your hands before washing to delay age spots on your hands!

Olive Oil to fix damaged ends!

Massage a little olive oil into the ends of your hair and wrap it in a warm towel for five minutes then shampoo and condition as usual.

Honey facial Mask

Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores, smear on honey and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week!

Vinegar for shiny hair

Mix ¼ cup of vinegar and 1 Cup of water. After conditioning the hair use this as a final rinse it will leave your hair soft and shiny.

Egg and Olive Oil hair mask

Mix two whole eggs with four tablespoons of olive oil. Smooth through hair, wrap head with plastic wrap, and leave in hair for 10 minutes. Rinse well

Avocado Facial Mask!

Avocado is a naturally rich moisturizer. Mash the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Massage into the face and neck. Leave on for 15 minutes and gently rinse off

Oatmeal Exfoliator!!  SHAMILA’S FAVORITE

Combine 2 teaspoons of oatmeal and 1 teaspoon of baking soda and add enough water to make a paste. Apply to skin and rub gently. Rinse and gently pat dry!

Teeth Whitening with Baking Soda!

Brushing with baking soda is one of the oldest and most effective natural tooth whitening remedies. It successfully removes stains and kills bacteria in the mouth making your teeth whiter and healthier.

Metal spoon for Puffy Eyes!

Had a late night? Take a rounded metal spoon and place it in your fridge for few minutes. When it gets cold, take it out and hold the rounded portion against your eye for few minutes. This helps in reducing the puffiness.

Ancient Egyptian Anti Wrinkle cream!
